SHABU-SHABU with Ou Mushin and An Yang

Last Monday (July 18, 2011) was a holiday. I was so tired from a party event the night before. Our plan was to go around places in Ikebukuro and stuff. Good thing they decided to just chill out and just eat shabu-shabu coz if not, I might be dead now! Kidding! Exaggerating things.

Shabu-shabu is a Japanese variant of hot pot. This is my 2nd time to eat shabu-shabu and it tasted really good.  It was kinda different from the 1st time I ate shabu-shabu in a restaurant in Phil.. They put a lot of ingredients for the soup, it was really tasteful, SPICY and delicious unlike the first one that I have eaten before. Firstly, we all met at Ikebukuro Station. Then, we went to a nearby convenient store where I also found a `flour tortilla` that my Boo has been searching for. They bought the ingredients there and lemons for me coz my throat was hurting. Anyway, we walked under this heating sun.

An Yang`s Cute ShoesHot Pot

Look at those chili peppers. These is how they made the soup very tasteful up to the 5th kind of meat they put. Water.Cooking Oil.Garlic.Chinese blah blah (I dunno the name but An Yang brought it for the soup.).

Here we go!!!

Salt and Chili Sauce from Mt. FujiOu Mushin and An YangI dunno how many times we have eaten together but we always do it coz we love food. Chinese are awesome. Indeed, they are open-minded and fun to be with. Regardless of the language-barrier, they have this characterictic that I`m kinda finding it hard in Japanese people. Anyhow, let`s continue...These two said that the best partner of Shabu-Shabu is a not-so-cold TEA. It did so but I still prefer water among other drinks but Acerola is my favorite right now. Whhhaaaat!!!?? I`m confused! They cooked meat 6 times and shrimps were the last one.Shrimp on hot pot

I was about to have a dance lesson after that Shabu-Shabu marathon but I was really tired and there were lot of things to do. I thought I wouldn`t be able to eat dinner but around 9pm, I got hungry. My stomach is really amazing. Thanks to Ou Mushin and An Yang for always being so jolly, happy and fun to be with. Let`s do this again.

Food Blog: SWEETS PARADISE

SWEETS PARADISE is an All-You-Can-Eat sweets chain in Japan. You have 90-minutes to eat and indulge yourself with lots of different delicious cakes, custards, ice cream, pastas that changes from time to time, curry rice, chocolate fountaion, lots of variaty of drinks and  more.

The first time I ate here was with Boo. It was for my birthday that we went out and celebrated. We don`t know exactly where to go but I was craving for cake and he said that we should have a dessert-marathon. When we went outside the Train Station, we were heading nowhere. Suddenly, he checked on the restaurants inside the nearest building and then BOOm!!! There`s SWEETS PARADISE. The bad thing was we never had pictures of it coz we were so excited and happy eating those cakes, pasta and more. The funny thing is whenever we go out, there`s always Sweets Paradise on the area. We always laugh about it.

The 2nd time we ate here. <3 YUM

Michaels Jackson`s Kids

These photos where taken while Prince, Paris and Blanket spotted getting iced coffee last May 17, 2011. It has been two years since their father passed away. Still, they seem growing up so fast, so smart, talented just like their father and nice kids. Well, thanks to their Grandparents and people that surround them.

I wonder what kind of life they had and how they were nurture by the King of Pop.  Maybe we`ll wait few more years before they become matured people and could stand on their own or defend their own father on public scrunity about him. Well, they seem like just ordinary kids in extra-ordinary life though. Yappari!

FEW OF MY OLD ART

I love drawing, sketching, and designing. I am a very crafty person but the thing is I focus more on my singing, dancing and acting ability that`s why It became just a hobby. Come to think of it I have 7 Sketch Pads all in all for the past 10 years. Hhhhmmm… I told you it`s just a hobby! :) I remeber I got a 2nd rank in Philippine Youth Art Society (I hope I got that right). Although, It`s just a small organization, knowing I was only 10 years old and some are teenagers, I `m proud of it. harhar. I love art but never will I intend to be my profession. I used to dream of being a fashion designer too but my imagination are too weird and eccentric. I love creating clothes that can be wore on big shows which I`d love to wear in the future. Yay! Let`s do this! Anyway here are some of the few art that I did. These are the only ones I had the time to take pictures coz most of it are in the Philippines.

Britney Spears 2002

During my `teenybopper`generation, Britney Spears has the most beautiful face of them all. Although, Christina Aguilera is my favorite singer, I found her face very angelic and expressive. Well, I do have a `Christina Aguilera` artwork too but I have no photo though. And you could see my childhood `nickname` over there. Find the hidden `name`… lol

I am a big fan of Eminem. He`s a unique rapper. He can be very goofy and wacky. He can be very serious and rap about life, frustrations, love, madness, truth and you can feel his feelings whenever he raps. I have goosebumps whenever he raps. Even Elton John got astonished when he heard Eminem during their first meeting and rehearsal together on a show. I just read it in a book about Music Legends. I forgot the title but Eminem was one of them. Rawwrr! And the other Britney sketch was made on 2001.

Georgina Wilson for Bench Body

I saw this billboard of her in EDSA last year. And so I made something like that. COOL!….

My Design 2010

And If I saw someone wore this, they copy it from me. Argh! ahahaha These are few from last year. I`m inspired and off to do new and more this year. I wish to learn designing on computer also someday. Let`s get it on y`all. More to come! Sooner I`ll be able to make some of it by my own. One at a time.

My B-Day Bash

My birthday was last May 31…I am a year older but feeling younger esp. when you`re here in Japan. Are we being preserve here?? lol I didn`t know how to spend it so go with the flow. We were set to go to Disneyland but becasue of uncertain schedule, we didn`t make it. Oh well, life goes on. I`ll still make sure I`m going there this year. So help me God! It was sad but unexpected things happened.

I never thought I`d be able to sing again few 2 days before my birthday at a Church Event. I got to know new people. One of them is the pretty girl Nicole who is a singer too.

After the Event, We went to Japan`s famous Cake Shop(most especially for children) named FUJIYA. I remember when I was a kid I have this FUJIYA items being sent to me and I thought It`s just another cartoon character but when I went here in Japan, I discovered It`s from a Cake Shop. Nice! Delicious Cakes… Yum! OISHII

And here are some of the delicious cakes. I never like strawberry much but because almost every cake here in Japan has strawberries I am loving strawberry now especially in cakes. Also, convenient stores near our school sell strawberries. That`s Heaven on Earth! LOL

I`m a cake-lover. I remember when I was in Grade School we have this group called C-A-K-E… C for Christina (yours truly).. A for AIRA.. K for Kathlene.. E for EDEN..but sometimes we change it to C-A-R-E coz R is for RAUNICA… You know girly stuff like that. If they have `Mean Girls`, we have `Cake`… Lol!!!

On the day of my birthday, we had a class. I never thought they knew my birthday. Plus, two of my close friends gave me gifts. Thank You! And even Ms. Wada (School staff who I can consult and talk to) greeted me.

I was running late and this is what I saw next to my seat. Shi (my seatmate) didn`t attend the class thay day. The funny thing is that his birthday is jst 3 days after my birthday. HHmm.. Nani o shite ita kana??? I wonder what he did that day.

These two were responsible of those gifts… Rawwrr.. Ou Mushin and Soreiri. Love them both! Simple but very thoughtful people.

Colorful Sunday in Shibuya, Harajuku, Omotesando Hills

One Sunday, Gervin,Niki, Ena and I decided to hang-out and chat around without expending too much. Since we are all busy during weekdays, weekends are the best time for us. We don`t see each other much coz we also live far from each other. Well, you can`t resist Tokyo so this is the `always` meeting spot. Also, my BIRTHDAY just went by a few days before. Sadly, rolane couldn`t come.xoxo

Firstly, we met up at Starbucks infront of the famous and largest Pedestrian Crossing in Shibuya. Then, we walked around and went to different shops like H&M, FakeTokyo and more. Niki and I bought foot pads coz wearing heels really hurts while Gervin (with no intention of buying) bought this Goldish Glittery Converse Snickers.

Of course, we joke around, talked about fashion, music, art, life and gazing our eyes with fashionable people. I love fashion but I `m not good at it or maybe I just don`t give my attention on it much coz I`m focus more on music and movies.

Afterwards, we headed to Harajuku/Omotesando and ate first at Pizza-all-you-can in Shakeys. We were all noisy and were laughing because of Lady Gaga`s JUDAS song which is very irritating but can give you an Last-Song-Syndrome. “Judas Juda ah aha h“ and the EWWRR part before the bridge of this song made our stomache aches because of unstoppable laugh. We used it in every word we say. Talked about good times with them. Obviously we did that `PAWS UP` thingy of L.G.

Then, in Omotesando Hills. I was surprised that they bought and gave me a MAC Lipstck as a gift. Thanks so much.

And then, we did more shots at the famous and beautiful PRADA building in AOYAMA.

…and the two Cute Security Guards.

We got tired from walking. So we went to Starbucks and that`s where we really had a real conversation. I did miss my friends in the Philippines. The interesting stories, sharing ups and downs, same likes and dislikes, opinions and most espacially the jokes are the things that I really miss. Well, these girls have it too. Before we parted ways, at the train station, we met `JACK SPARROW` and some Harajuku Girls.

And so JACK SPARROW`s Black Pearl is missing again, huh??!! LOL So he had to take the train..harhar

That was a great Sunday! We`re hoping for more to come. Stress-free..More Laughs..Fashion..Photos..Talks..Jokes..Happiness.. (Photos by Niki Medina)

LIFE of MY EYES

People say I have expressive eyes. Some said they are teary eyes. Some thought they have contact lens. Some said it is big (esp. Chinese and Japanese). Some said it`s small. I`m happy I haven`t heard bad things about my eyes. I am always protective of my eyes coz It`s sensitive, tears fall easily, and sleepy but oftenly ureshisou desu (looks happy). I never wore contact lens or never would I wear one coz  i fear of ruining the purity of it. And I`m scared I might get blind. Lol! Yah, weird thinking. I frequently wear eye make-up not unless it is necessary coz it looks different when i put any color. Anyhow, here are some journey my eyes had been. Funny!!! But I never thought I collected these photos from my treasure Inbox. Lol

The Glowy Eye                                                The Glittery Eye                                               The Fairy Eye

The EMO Eyes…                                                                         The Sunny Eye…

The Sore Eyes…                                                                              The Cried Eyes…

The Exorcist Eye…                                                                        The Nerdy Eyes…

Before Party Eye…                                                                        After Party Eye…

That`s for now but I am sure there`s more to come. Your eyes can never hide what`s inside you. People can see your soul through your eyes so hide no more. Anyway, I want to try those huge colorful fake eye lashes that`s been everywhere here in Japan. If you`re in Japan, fake eyelashes is an everyday use of girls trying to make their eyes more attractive, big and powerful. Kudos Lady Gaga! Lol

Ginza Swing City

Last July 1, 2011 was the beginning of my busy schedule. On that day, I was set to attend an event in Ginza Swing City. It was a Music Bar where Ms. Aya Yoda (a great and famous Violinist) oftenly performs. After class, my friend (who has a part-time job in Ginza) and I strolled down the beautiful city of Ginza where all the biggest signature and branded shops in Japan are located.  About 6pm, a friend of mine and I went to the Music Bar and watched her show. I have seen Ms. Aya Yoda in some events that I went to but that night was the first time I met and talked to her. Plus, I met interesting people.

Ms. Aya Yoda

Ms. Aya Yoda is a really talented person. She played that violin with emotions and feelings. You could feel it by just hearing the sounds. Plus, at the back of her is a great pianist. And so, I kinda reminisce my piano-playing days. I couldn`t play anymore. It`ll be an advantage you know.

At ABS-CBN Event. She was rocking it while playing some classic Pinoy Songs and she uttered some Tagalog which was a delight to the Filipinos who were watching the show.

With Mr. Richard Poon… I`m looking forward of watching more of her show or maybe have a show with her. I`m a ultimate music lover and playing a musical instrument while singing is a frustration coz it takes a long journey to master such kind of instrument. Oh well, I`m a good dancer so all is fair I think. Thank you!

Meet my Classmates

It`s been a year that we all know each other. I could still remember the first meeting, the awkward moments, the everyday shyness and the eagerness to chat. Beacuse of the language-barrier, It took time before we joke around, have chat and go around places. Majority of them are chinese. Also, in my class, there are students from Khazakstan, Nepal and Indonesia. Yes, I am the only Filipino there. It was really difficult at first knowing you have no one to confide, consult and ask to since all are amateur in Nohongo. Of course all the Chinese will talk to each other through their own language so talk about out-of-cast kinda thing. The good thing is they are all really nice, funny and kind people so eventually we get along especially when we can speak Nihongo already. Plus, they would help me with my Kanji (Chinese characters) coz it all came from their country in the first place but Japan`s Kanji are different but still, they know how to write and read unlike me. All I know is Romaji (Roman Letters). Musukashiiyo!! Lol So let me introduce them or some of them atleast.

Soreiri (my first seatmate)

She used to have a long hair. She talked to me in Chinese and sat beside me. I just said `wakarimasen`(I don`t understand) coz she thought I am Chinese too.  From then on, we were seatmates and became girlfriends atleast in school. She`s nice, know some english words, responsible and always helping me with Kanji and Nihongo. Sadly, she quit studying now but she`s still here in Japan. She love shopping and make-up.

Ou Mushin

Ou Mushin is a very bubbly, interesting, fun to be with and lovely kind of girl. She`s always on-the-go whenever or whatever. We both love eating, Lady Gaga, she like hollywood, fashion, Harajuku, Shibuya and cute guys. ehehe… She`s my little buddy buddy.

Bhusal and Thapa (from Nepal)

They used to be at the back of my seat. Bhusal is good in Kanji and he`s very eager to learn the language. Thapa was the first person I talked to in the class. They also know some english words. They are nice and interesting people plus their culture. During the March earthquake, It was also our last day of School year. And so April came along, Bhusal, Ou Mushin,Thapa and I were left in the afternoon class with new classmates coz our old classmates change to morning class. After 1 week, Ou Mushin and I decided to change into morning class too. So, I don`t see both of them much and we`re back with our old classmates which is more fun though. Nice!

An Yang

The only girl I can talk to in straight English. She the girliest of all. She`s very pretty, timid, nice and admirable. We sometimes hang out and eat anything at her pad coz It`s just 5mins. walk from the school. She`s the one who always make the Goldilocks-like hair of mine. Sweet girl.

Shi (my recent fave)

He used to be a quiet guy seating at the very back of the class but when I change to morning class and went to my old class, he became my seatmate unexpectedly. I never thought he could speak some english words, funny and recently the most noisy of them all. Peace! Even if I always bully him, punch him on his shoulders or write anything on his arms, he`s still nice, joking around and smiling. Beware Shoko! hehehe Well, coz he always ask me the meaning of these and that in English. He`s not my seatmate anymore but the funny thing is, he`s just at the back of my seat.

Kou (my new seatmate)

The tallest guy in the school. He`s nice and funny. Sometimes he teaches me Chinese words. High five!

And here are some of them. Also, scenes and some teachers. We got the noisiest class I guess.

These are just inside our classroom. What more outside! I`ll blog it soon. Until then.
